Twins don't run in my family, and I'm not on fertility drugs, but my husband keeps teasing me that I released 2 eggs because my opk stayed positive for more than 5 days. I'm six weeks and having a bit of brownish discharge so I was wondering if this is more common with multiples. I know it's a longshot, but right now I am just looking for any reassurance I can find.

I am sorry you are going through this. Yes, bleeding is more common in a multiples pregnancy but in hoping to ease your mind, most bleeding in all pregnancies is usually something they can't find a reason for and the pregnancy continues with a happy ending. Good luck!

I hadn't heard about spotting being more common with multiples, but I'm also six weeks along and have had a few days of spotting here and there. My doctor said the brownish spotting means old blood, and is likely implantation bleeding coming out late. Are YOU wanting twins?
