The Higher My Beta Gets The Faster It Is Doubling

Here are my beta's: 16 DPO - 77 18 DPO - 174 (doibling time 40.8 hrs) 20 DPO - 389 (doubling time 41.4 hrs) 22 DPO - 1224 (doubling time 29 hrs) I had severe throbbing/pressure so I went to the ER. At the ER, the only thing that they could find was a possible cyst which he said was normal. My OB would discuss this with me at my appt. He was surprised by my 22 DPO jump. But he didn't say anything. All these beta's were done at the same lab. I was on my 3rd cycle of Clomid, I am not sure if I have twins in my family or not, I am adopted. My DH is a twin, but I know that has nothing to do with it. This will be my 4th pregnancy, 3rd live birth. Is it possible that another stuck? I know that is a strange question, but I thought the higher your beta, the slower the increase. Why the high jump? Thanks

Only thing I can tell you is that with my twins mine was 1450 at 15 dpo and 2880 at 17 dpo. Congrats on your pregnancy and let us know what the Dr. says. Maybe you'll get an early u/s????

My HCG levels doubled every 30 hours in the beginning, and started out much higher than yours (192 at 13 DPO). Your levels look a lot like mine with my singleton pregnancies, so I highly doubt your HCG levels are suggestive of twins. Congratulations, however, on your pregnancy!

hard to say...only the u/s will tell you for sure. Hcg are not predictive of multiples as they vary so much from woman to woman. Congrats on your pg.

your numbers are in the low end of the singleton range: 14 DPO, the average HCG level is 48 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-119 mIU/ml. 15 DPO, the average HCG level is 59 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-147 mIU/ml. 16 DPO, the average HCG level is 95 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 33-223 mIU/ml. 17 DPO, the average HCG level is 132 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-429 mIU/ml. 18 DPO, the average HCG level is 292 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 70-758 mIU/ml. 19 DPO, the average HCG level is 303 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 111-514 mIU/ml. 20 DPO, the average HCG level is 522 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 135-1690 mIU/ml. * At 21 DPO, the average HCG level is 1061 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 324-4130 mIU/ml. * At 22 DPO, the average HCG level is 1287 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 185-3279 mIU/ml. * At 23 DPO, the average HCG level is 2034 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 506-4660 mIU/ml. * At 24 DPO, the average HCG level is 2637 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 540-10,000 mIU/ml. http://www.conceivingconcepts.com/learning/articles/hcg.html

actually it isn't true that the higher your numbers the slower it jumps....the later the numbers are taken the slower the doubling rate though. So if you have a doubling rate of every 30 hours at 14dpo at 30dpo the doubling rate is much longer.
