Twin Boys With A Calcium Deposit On Their Hearts

I just want to know if there's anyone else out there that are going through this or have gone through this. I'm almost 18 weeks pregnant with twin boys and I'm only 24 years old. When I went for my appt last week the ultrasound tech found a calcium deposit in the very same spot on both boy's hearts. She and the doctor both said that this could be a soft marker for down syndrome. The neck measurements that were done at 13 weeks came up fine and normal at 2.00 mm and 2.49 mm. They're opeing up their hands and waving at us and are growing just fine. They took my blood for the Quad Screening and I'm now waiting on the results from that so that I can go get a Level 2 ultrasound done. They want me to go through with an amnio, but I don't want to have to put my boys in any kind of danger no matter how great or small the risks. I believe that my boys are perfectly fine and I have faith that God will heal them and give my husband and I the strength to deal with outcome. I was just wondering if there's anyone else who's been told the same thing because I can't find anything about the deposit being in both twins. God bless you all!

look at this other mom: just wanted to let everyone know who has this same situation and for those to come. I just had my son and he is prefect! At 20 weeks they detected a spot on his heart. Then they checked again a month later and the spot was still there. Of course as all mother do I worried about it all the time. I had my son on 8/7/09(38 weeks and 6 days) and he has no problems. For all you mothers to be don't worry and sure your munchkin will be just as prefect. SO RELAX SKAGEE, EVERYTHING WILL BE ALL RIGHT IN GOD'S WILL. HAVE A BLESSED NEW YEAR!!

Thank you so much for your success story. That's the one thing that's helping me through this time. Congrats on your little bundle of joy and God Bless. Thanks again.
