I am 27 dpo and my levels were 16,000 is this high?

The highest DPO I can find is 24 DPO and it is between 540 and 10,000. Since they are supposed to double every 48-72 hours, I would say you are well within the normal range. Doesn't mean you aren't having twins though. HCG levels are very unreliable for detecting twins.

I agree with samehere, hcg are NOT reliable in diagnosing twins as the numbers vary vastly. 27dpo translates into 3-4 weeks since conception and this chart shows you being in the normal range for a singleton: expected HCG levels based on time after conception: 0-1 week: 0-50 mIU/ml 1-2 weeks: 40-300 mIU/ml 3-4 weeks: 500-6,000 mIU/ml 1-2 months: 5,000-200,000 mIU/ml 2-3 months: 10,000-100,000 mIU/ml 2nd trimester: 3,000-50,000 mIU/ml 3rd trimester: 1,000-50,000 mIU/ml
