I have been suffering with bad morning sickness to the point that I dry reech for about 15minutes until I eat something and then I just vomit that up. I am 6.5weeks and am still working full time. I find that the only thing that helps is if I go home and sleep. Even when I wake up though my stomach feels uneasy. My question is - how can I make sure my baby is getting enough nutrients?? Not even the dry cracker tip works. Please help!!

When I was pregnant with my daughter I LOST weight because I couldn't keep ANYTHING down. I went to the ER and doctor repeatedly because I was so worried my baby was starving! the doctor finally put it to me this way "Your baby is like little parasite. He/she eats and gets nutrients before you do." My daughter was 8 pounds 4 oz. and he was totally right! Don't worry! Your baby is getting everything it needs from what is left behind!!:-)

I have found that since I am home on bed rest due to high blood pressure I am not suffering from the all day sickness thing as bad. Plus the fact that I almost out of the first trimester where it usually goes away anyway. You can get a medication from your doctor that will help. try drinking sips of ginger ale, that is what helped me. and keep ing food in your stomach. I usually eat every 1.5 hours or so. Making sure its always protien. i do drink a protien shake 2 times a day as well. You can also try taking your prenatl vitamin at a different time of the day to see if that changes anything.
