I've the same problem. I gave birth a week ago and still can't turn in bed or stand up without pain. I'm waiting for my 3 week check up to find out if it is fx. I do feel a little movement in that area when I turn in bed. I dont know what else to do..

I gave birth on May 13th 2002, yes, nearly four years ago. My daughter broke my tailbone (I gave birth to her sitting up in the front seat of a car in 45 mintues, so it's a wonder more things didn't break,,,) since then, every month I have major back trouble. My tailbone and the base of my spine throb and throb for a few days before, during and after. If I'm lucky, it's shorter, but not usually. It is getting better as time goes on, but my back problems will always be there I think. I was braced up for three weeks after she was born and plain awful - mind you, the brace was an extremely tight kind of bandage that sucked you in at the front - rather falttering. Certainly noticed the difference when I took it off!

I have the same thing too!! Mine was sore before I had my dd, but it was totally worse after. I ride horses as well, so Ca__sandra, I feel your pain!!

I had a v____al delivery to a 10.1 lb and 24" long baby boy .....13 years ago. (I was 19 years old.) My tailbone still hurts after all these years! And, I'm now 5 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby! What's going to happen to my tailbone this time?! My doctor said the same thing "It's probably fractured and there's nothing you can do". Good luck! Hopefully, the pain will go away.
