Testicular Cancer and Infertility
Many men may become infertile after having testicular cancer. In fact, one in every four survivors of this cancer will face fertility problems. In order to avoid this, men are advised to look into their options and many choose to freeze some sperm. After recovering from the cancer, men must wait several years before undergoing fertility tests so that they can get the most accurate results. Understandably, when faced with a testicular cancer diagnosis, fertility is not foremost on mens’ minds. Doctors should advise their patients about possible infertility and the available options.
