My cat has always been vocal, especially in the evenings. He is following me around a lot, but he is also, suddenly, meowing and keeping us up all night. Does anyone know how to handle this?

my cats were always very aloof... now that I am pregnant and even before i knew come to think of it my female follows me around a lot.. when I am in bed she gets on my pillow and sleeps on top of my head purring, when I am on the couch she sits next to me or behind me and licks me <3 my male who was always a scaredy cat sleeps in bed with me now (used to only be when my hubby was in bed) and wants me to pick him up and cuddle him. I think they know.. they can probably smell pheromones or something. my moms dog is none the wiser though hes a 90 pound german shepherd about 10.5 months old, and he still jumps on me like a big idiot... awww. :o)

I have a huge tabby that bugs me non-stop. He weighs about twenty pounds and always wants to lay on my belly but he's too heavy. My huskey seems to know this and will snap at my cat to get him away from me. My huskey, named Laurali, follows me everywhere and when I leave she will go through the livingroom window. I've had to replace the window five times now and have to lock her in a cage when I go anywhere. She knew I was pregnant long before I did. This behavior with her started within a few weeks of me becoming pregnant. It seems the further along I get the worse she gets. I have six weeks left and she has now started doing a lot of whinning. She loves kids and I know she is getting excited for this new baby to get her cause I know she is going to think he is her's. She has been a foster mother to a lot of other animals as well.

Our cat has always been my husbands cat. She was never very affectionate with me, but since becoming pregnant, she follows me from room to room, likes to cuddle up with me, and has also started to knead my chest. Apparently this is something only kittens do when they are suckling their moms. go figure!

My 7yr old cocker spanial is my baby in training. He cuddles with me now more than ever. He sleeps with his head on my belly and looks at me when the baby moves. Also, he is very protective of me now, even when I'm in the bathroom (every 20 min.) he sits next to me and waits until I am done and say "every thing is fine" and then he will leave. On the other hand my 3 yr oldblack lab is craving attention now more than ever and it scares me because up until now he is the baby and I am hoping he wont be like this when the baby is born.
