I didn't find out for sure I was pregnant until I was 25 weeks. I should have figured it out though. My aunt has a dog named Daisy. She's always loved me. Every time I go up there, she showers me with kisses and the first thing she does is jump up on me wanting to be petted. For a few months before I found out, I noticed that she wouldn't jump up on me anymore, even when I motioned for her to. She would jump up on my side or wait until I sat down and jump on my knees. That should've given it away to me. Now, when I'm at my boyfriend's house (yes-he's the father) his cat follows me everywhere. She sleeps next to me or on my hip, & she always wants me to pet her. She's become my little buddy. It's almost like she's trying to watch out and be there for me. It's like she's trying to say " I'm here for you." Her name's Baby. What a coincidence.

We have two cats, a rabbit and a dog. At this stage, everyone in the house knows but we haven't really explained to them that there will be a new addition to the zoo. They all have become cuddly creatures that just want to hang out on my baby bump while I am resting with my feet up. Not a single one of them was loving before in fact they were so preoccupied with food they would consider tripping me to get it. Now I think they make sure I get what I need (love and food) and then just want to make sure I am well rested.

I have 2 cats, one of which is about 15 years old, I have had her since I was 9 years old. She always used to sleep on my belly, a few week before i found out that i was preg. she refused to sleep on my belly. She would instead sleep next to my belly with her head resting on my tummy. The other 2 are only about 10 months old, so it took a little longer to get that certain instinct. And I think that me and the 15 yr old kitty are more conected and she new something was different with her momma.

Wow I never thought about that. It's so true too. I have a pom which was perfectly behaved up until a few weeks ago. The last few weeks she has started peeing in the house nightly. I thought it was b/c she was getting old but she's been wanting to play more and visit me and I keep telling her she's gonna be a big sister.

I have a 2 year old border collie named Beau. I got him as a Christmas present when he was 6 wks old from my friends. Every since then we've been inseparable. We've gone through everything together, but recently (since my appx. conception date) he's reverted back to puppy days (not his though, he was always unusually well behaved). He is suffering from extreme separation anxiety. Whenever I go to work he gets into trash, eats old trash, and destroys things. The other night as I was lying on the couch watching tv he threw up for the first time in his life. He knows he's in trouble the minute I come home from work, but it doesn't stop him. And now he won't even sleep in his dog bed anymore, he insists on sleeping next to me, and periodically will get up to check on me and give me kisses. Talk about dog intuition!

My cattle dog cross Bette was obsessed with my husband but now that I'm pregnant, she barely knows he exists. She shadows me everywhere and won't leave me alone for even a minute. I thought she must know I'm pregnant but wasn't sure, until I saw this site. Animals are truly amazing.
