This is my first baby, IT'S A BOY!! I'm excited and scared. I know I'm going to be a good mom. I just hope my son will feel the same. God-willing he will have a great daddy, biological or not. :-/

Dear Brittani, I just thought I'd Let you know that if you want an epidural then you can not deliver in water, best of luck

This is my second child and I'm 20 years old. I don't fear the pain, I fear something going wrong with delivery and afterwards. I had preeclampsia with my son who is now 2 and I hope I don't have it with my daughter. I am 2 weeks out from my due date and I hope to go natural, but will take an epidural if needed.

im 16 and this is my first baby i'm extremely nervous but at the same time excited i wan tto have a water birth but i havent fully decided yet. i know i want an epidural but im still a little skeptical since i dont do very well with pain i can barely stand the needle they use to take my blood and i've never had an IV before so that scares me too especially since those needles are HUGE lol but hopefully all goes well im having a boy thank god thats what i wanted and it shouldnt be too much longer before i get to meet him

i am 25 years old and my husband i are having our first little one. i am finding that nobody talks about how much pregnancy can suck. at only 6 weeks i had leg cramps so bad i couldnt sit, lay down, or stand without being in severe pain. its kind of hard to sleep while walking. i know it will be worth it in the end though. i'm very excited despite the early pains i was never forwarned about.

I'm 28 years old and am 39 weeks with my first baby! I can't wait to see her. I work full-time as a critical care nurse, and my last day is 3 days before my due date, unless I go into labor before! I'm planning a home water birth with a midwife and 2 doulas plus my husband and mother. We installed a hot tub for the labor/delivery and it is so nice to sit in it, takes the weight off the belly and the jets massage the back. Being at home and having a water birth mean no epidural / IV narcotics for labor, but no one I know personally has had that and I wouldn't want it. I trust my ability to relax and birth my baby by intuition, and I trust the expertise of my midwife and birth attendants. Of course we have emergency plans and medications, and I'm comfortable with transporting to the hospital in case of emergency. The important thing is to have a healthy baby! (Even if it doesn't happen my "ideal" way.) Good luck to all!
