The only odd thing I have done with regards to smells, is to get really close to my husband after he showers and sniff his freshly washed hair. I also love the smell of him, just being close and smelling his skin. When he uses aftershave it just dirves me wild, I could sit and sniff him forever. Of course he's not really into that, he laughs at me and likes to tease me (in a joking way) about being weird, wanting to smell him all the time. All of my food cravings have been fairly normal though.

I'm just bout 5 months pr-ego and from the beginning of the pregnancy to now I have been craving LIMES! Weird huh? I can eat 3 limes in a sitting. Just give me a lime, knife, & salt and I'm content for hours.

I haven't found a fix for those, but I'll work on it :-) I did find a fix for the Pine Sol cravings -- green Skittles & lime Jell-O. Lime popsicles also work sometimes. Artificial lime flavoring tastes similar to the smell of Pine Sol. I know it's weird, but it works.

I am trying not to give in, but my cravings are all SMELL based! I want to smell any thing with a strong fume. Gasoline, newspaper print, markers, car exhaust, my mouth waters just thinking of it! The only thing that subsides this is to chew on paper from magazines or junk mail! I've been hiding it like a dirty secret! I don't swallow it, I'm sure eating it would cause me to be constipated, but I guess I would rather chew on paper than sniff gasoline! If only my cravings were for cleaning products, then I would be motivated to clean my house! I'm too tired as it is, so perhaps I should see if I'm anemic.... I had this craving with my first pregnancy. It was twice as hard then because I also wanted to smoke cig's or to just be around someone who was. Thankfully, I have been able to control that urge thus far... I fantasize about sniffing things, but my fear of hurting the baby or being "caught" in the act by my husband and getting embarrased keep me from acting on it. Is anyone out there who has this craving and has found some sort of "fix" that won't hurt the baby? I think I'll try black jelly beans... that sounds pretty good right now.

Stop eating chalk is the best thing you can do. Then be sure to call your doctor. I know it's hard not to give into the cravings, because I really, really, really want to drink Pine Sol sometimes but I have to use my better judgement.
