This is for Wendy. I am 17wks with #4 and with the three before this I too craved ice, crushed ice and lots of it, I would actually skip meals because I was so full from all of the ice I crunched. I don't have this craving yet with this one, but we will see. I have been told by many health care professionals that ice cravings can mean that you are anemic. You might want to have your Iron checked.

Well, so far my cravings change on a daily basis, but they are definitely cravings. I have been EXTREMELY sick with this one....not too bad with my first. The cravings that seem to stick around are pickle juice...mmmm....grapefruit...pretty much any fruit....lots of tomatoe products, including fresh tomato. Oh, and ice...mmmm Mainly, I have had adversions...coffee, which I love, peanut butter, which I ADORE, and sweets, which now make me feel very sick, and I usually have a very bad sweet tooth.

My midwife told me so long as you don't actually want to eat any of the non-food substances you are craving then it's not a big problem. I'm obsessed with smells - the warm air smell that comes from the hoover & the damp air smell that comes from the tumble dryer, I can't get enough of it & I love the feel of a bath towel that has just come straight out of the dryer - I could sit & chew on it all day - weird!!!!!!
