Well, this is my 2nd go around. My first daughter is 11 years old and was delivered by way of emergency C-section. I have since retrieved the L & D notes from her birth and given them to my current midwife (that will be asssisting in a home birth this time) She feels confident that the Pitocin and Demerol had a lot to do with the unsteady heartrate of my daughter. I am looking forward to birthing in the comfort of my own home with the people I want around. No spotlights, masked men, or interns with too much to learn. I'm not a guinee pig! I am a woman birthing a child, I do not have an illness. Good luck to all of you no matter what your decision!!!
