I think my husband should be there mostly along with the siblings and grandparents! Then the friends could come in afterwards.So mostly my hubby and kids should be there!

I think only the partner should be present at the birth. It is a very private and special moment. There are too many people out there telling scary stories to new mothers and the truth is, it is different for every person. We had a baby and then soon after he was born we found out he was deathly sick. I know that I personally wouldn't have been able to deal with my friends/family being in the way at that time. When it is just your partner, you have some private time together to get to know your little one.

Hi. My husband was with me for the birth of my son and my husband and sister were with me for the birth of my daughter. I'm expecting my third in 6 weeks and both my husband and sister will be there. I think it's a good idea to have more than one person there.

I think that it is the Mom's choice. I think she should be a able to have whoever and however many people, friends and family she wants.
