Shea, I'm 23 weeks pregnant and I too was overweight before becoming pregnant. I think overweight people tend to gain a lot less weight during pregnancy. Early in my pregnancy I lost weight instead of gaining (I just felt sick even thinking about food). Now I think I've gained maybe 4 pounds at most but my belly is definately larger and more shaped too. It's different for everyone but I'm sure you're fine. I've tried to be very careful too with my eating. I've heard that family history plays a big role in pregnancy but I don't know. My sister had two overweight pregnancies and she had no problems at all. Don't stress about it. I would try to eat vegetables if I could though, you really do need them. I don't want much meat either, but you can eat nuts or peanut butter for protein. I don't know why I'm acting like I know anything, this is my first pregnancy too... I just read everything I can get my hands on about being pregnant.

I am only 11 weeks and I can't help but worry that I'm not eating healthy enough. I eat a lot of fruit but not a lot of veggies. I don't do meat very well right now...only if it's like a chicken finger or something. I am overweight but watching it. I'm just nervous about developing all those serious probs. associated with eating and overweight pregnancy.

I am very worried, I don't know if I am pregnant, I had sex twice ( december and now a week ago) and used a condom. My last period (feb) was shorter than normal and I am 4 days late on it. I am really worried that I might be pregnant.

Has anyone ever got hit in the stomach hard? I went food shopping and bumped into a shelf pretty hard, which then in turn made the bar of the cart go right into my stomach. It definitely was enough to cause me to worry like crazy. Just wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience I'm 19 weeks.

We are finally pregnant (been married for 1 1/2 years) and didn't think it could happen so we are very excited. I have an 11 and a 12-year old from a previous marriage (fertility drugs got those two going!) and I'm going to be 45 next month. Anyway, I'm six weeks tomorrow and I started having brown spotting this morning and I'm frantic. Going on all day...faint with one quarter-size clump this afternoon. I know this is probably our last chance (old groin injury to husband, low body fat on my part, not to mention age, plus husband is a long-haul truck driver so never home...whew!). I know there's nothing I can do but wait (it's torture)...I guess I just wanted to vent.

This is my third child and I really want to try to go naturally. I had an epidural with the other two and it really seems to make me sick. I want so much not to have to deal with that feeling, but I am not sure if I can get through the pain without anything at all.
