One phrase..."Was it planned?" There has not been one person who hasnt asked us that when we announced we were having a baby! We have been married for two years and everyone has been on our back since the wedding day asking when we were going to make it a "real family" and have a baby, but when we finally are pregnant, they make it so negative by asking a stupid, negative question! I should reply with something sarcastic like "yes, sex was something we planned on when we got married"

I have many pet peeves when pregnant, must be those hormones! I am 17 wks with #4 and during all of my pregnancy's my monster in law, will find the most inappropriate place, where there is the most people and announce to the world just how huge I am. Also, when people say "this is your 4th, was it planned?" like it's their business. And then there is the big one. I have all girls, and when ever someone finds out I am pregnant there response is usually "well, maybe you will finally get that boy" Like there is something wrong with having a family full of girls. The assistant in our Peds office said that our family wouldn't be complete without a boy, I wanted to take her head off (she said it in front of all of my girlies). I am one of 4 girls. 3 of my girlfriends all have 4 girls each. aaauuurrgggghh!!!!!! it makes me so mad. Oh, one more sorry, how about the belly being public property? strangers come up and feel the belly, like they are rubbing the Buddha, why is that ok? Ok, I'll get off my soap box now. Luck and warm wishes to all.

My pet peeve is that with both of my pregnancies, my husband was deployed when I found out and i didn't want to tell anyone until I told him in person because I wanted to see his reaction since we'd been ttc for such a very long time with both. Both times, my mil/sil gotted so pissed that I didn't tell them before hand but had to find out when they came to visit a couple of weeks after he'd returned home. Granted it had not been my intent to 'smack them in the face' with a bulging belly when they came to visit shortly after his return home but it was as if over night, once my dh got home and knew, my tummy just popped on out. I was 24 weeks and 18 weeks respectively when in-laws came to visit and I was nervous as to how they would react to my swollen belly but figured they'd be elated since they'd been hounding us from our wedding day (seriously) to give THEM a baby. Well, they were so pissed and did speak to me for two days until my husband finally convinced them 'seeing is believing' thus seeing me obviously in the familly way made it more real and provided less time that they would have to wait for baby to arrive.

My biggest pet peeves are when I first found out I was pregnant I was so happy and to find out that it was on Christmas Day was just a coincidence to me. So, when people started asking me when I am due I would tell them December 25 ( I was trying to forego anyone telling me the invitable) which after watching their faces figure it out I would brace myself for... "CHRISTMAS DAY!!! Oh the poor baby why would you want to do that to that poor child. It's birthday won't be special. Are you kidding me? It's a baby who cares when it is born as long as it is born healthy. My second biggest pet peeve is I am petite always have been I was a skinny little girl who was told that everyday by everyone and apparently I am "skinny" now even though my body says differently. If I hear "You don't even look pregnant." one more time. I usually reply "Well I wish I didn't feel pregnant." What do they want me to do. It is almost as if they are expecting me to say "Oh that is because I am pretending." Or have three bags of Doritos in front of them. If I do that I will burst, and my baby doesn't do well with too many sweets or overeating. So, even pregnant I am still too skinny. Although I am gaining all the weight in the time I am supposed. I don't understand what I am supposed to look like for them. And I know if I was gaining weight rapidly I would be told that "Oh if you gain a lot of weight it will be harder to take off." Leave me alone I had morning sickness for my entire 1st Trimeister. If that is not pregnant I don't know what is!!
