Scheduling a c-section for convenience of a babies birth date is the worst reason! I feel that surgery like this should only be planned for a high risk pregnancy. Vaginal delivery is much easier and healthier to heal from for a normal, healthy, uncomlicated pregnancy.

I personally think that it is wrong to do that. C-section if major surgery and it is not as healthy for your baby. Children are not about your convenience and c-sections (non-emergency or high risk) take away from the natural processes that your body and your baby were designed to go through.

Best to wait until your baby ir ready. If feel that every pregnancy is a gift from GOD and that He decided on which day your baby will come as well as if your baby is ready. C-Section was only available in the olden days if there was a health risk for the mother and baby during birth. Way taking over somthing that God is in control off. God's word say "That He will never give you something if He know that you are not ready for.. Enjoy every pregnancy as a gift of God I DO NOW!!

I have had 2 c sections already my first was by my doctors choice every week I went in for my antinatal appointment my eldest still hadnt engaged the midwives kept saying next week it will happen till the week he was due I was sent for an ultrasound and my doctor took one look at it and said we have at least got a 10 pounder here he will split you in half i'll book you in for a c section and I had him by c section the very next day he was stuck in my ribs and even though I had a c section they still gad to use forceps to pull him out. After having had 2 already I have no choice but to have one this time I also discovered those who say people get out of it the easy way having a c section have never had one at least with a natural birth when the labour is over so is the pain I was still in pain for weeks afterwards.

I delivered my daughter vaginally and I am hoping to be able to do so with baby #2 as well. I would never want to put myself or my baby through a c-section unless absolutely necessary. Just the thought of having to recover from major abdominal surgery while caring for a newborn and toddler makes my head spin! I understand the concerns of others about VBACs but have friends who have been through this successfully :)

Please consider that there are many "Mum's" out there that have never felt the joy of baby kicking or had the opportunity to experience childbirth, and they are spectacular "Mums." Mothers who adopt and mothers who have had emergency c-sect like me, are still "Mums." It doesn't matter how a mommy becomes a "Mum" that little one's heartbeat and/or looking into her eyes is the only thing that matters.
