Bedtime used to be my favorite part of the day next to meal time, but now I don't look forward to it at all. Sleeping on my left side is uncomfortable, the right side is okay. But, after a few hours, my hip hurts so I switch to the left. A little later, my left hip is in pain. With both hips in pain, I lay there wondering which side to lay on...which will hurt less? I sleep with one pillow under my head, one pillow long ways between my legs, and one pillow between my feet. I tried the Snoogle, but it just didn't do it for me. Lastly, when I am at my wits end, frustrated, and near tears, I just get up and go online for a hour until I am not in pain anymore and feel tired enough to try sleeping again. Why try to fight it when it is just not happening? One of my best friends finished many scrapbooks during the wee hours of the morning when she was pregnant! Good luck!

I am 24 weeks preggers and have just recently had numbness in my upper thigh when sleeping on my sides. Has anyone experienced this. At the beginning of the prenancy I could not sleep at all. I learned that I needed to listen to my body and go to bed when it says to go to bed. Not when the usual time for me was. I was so afraid of going to bed early because I did not want to be up all night then go to work tired. All I can say is listen to your body and do what it says.

Basically I just sleep more on my left side than my right side. Sleeping on your right side is comfortable too, but I tend to switch sides to give my body even pressure. One thing you must not do is accidentally roll over on your stomach.By the time you wake up and realize you were on you belly, your stomach will hurt.I haven't used pillows, but I think that I might start.

I suffer from pregnancy-related allergies (of course, no medication allowed) and am stuffed up every night in addition to all the other discomfort. I am finding that Vic's Vaporub applied right before bed does the trick and my dr. and midwife assure me that it is completely safe
