I just found out at week 16 that I am carrying fraternal twins. One is a boy and the other a girl! They are in seperate sacs and have seperate placentas, which is very good. When they have seperate placentas the risk of one taking all the nutrients from the other cant happen! So I am due march 31, we will see if I make it that far. I weighed 108 before I got pregnant and weigh 125 already. Good Luck to everyone out there!!

Wow! Breastfeeding both of them?? I am very proud to hear this! I have one daughter & she was breastfeeding for about 8 months, I wanted to do it longer but i had to go back to school. I want to tell all the new mommies out there that even if you are young, do it! You will be so happy you did- the experience is wonderful, & the health benefits as well! The first month is soooo hard! But once the moment is over to do it, its over. I encourage everyone to give their babies the natural food that out babies have had for millions of years! Now i am expecting again, and for some reason I just "feel' like I am having twins! I am 20 and this is my 4th pregnancy, so I'm not sure what my statistics are??

Hello, I gave birth to twin boys. I think the key to carrying twins is resting. Rest when you can. I worked up to the last day 7-7-06. Rest on your left side. I had some complications, but no bed rest. I had high blood pressure treated with medication no pre-eclampsia and Gestational Diabetes treated with diet, no insulin. Both of my boys were transverse, so I had to have a c-section no matter what. I had my twins at 36 weeks and 4 days and 37 weeks is full term for twins. My boys weighed in at 7lbs 8oz and 7lbs 9 oz and both were 19 inches. They came home with me, no NICU or oxygen, they stayed in my room at the hospital. So to all the twin mothers who are carrying twins, the key thing is to rest.

Hello, the only thing I can say is wow there's alot of twins on the way. I also had twin girls when I was 22, I already had 2 kids so they made four. It was alot to handle at 22, but let me tell you it isn't going to be as crazy as you think. Just remember if they eat, sleep and play together it will be easier on you. If one wakes up hungry chances are the other will be sure to follow. Routine is key to keeping your sanity through the first couple years. And for Emma the 18 yr. old having triplets Don't be scared live day to day and you will be suprized how many people will offer to help, and let them you will need a break. good luck to all of you
