I am 6 months pregnant with my 5th and 6th child and a 35 year old mum. I did not discover I am having a identical twin boy until I am 5 months pregnant and what a surprise! I am so excited and cannot wait for the big day. So far the babies weight are normal and I don't have any complication except a rather high blood pressure 130/80. But early in my pregnancy my morning sickness was so severe that I have to go off work for 5 weeks. My concern now is the double preparation I have to make. I am also worried if the babies is born preterm and underweight. Lets hope everything will go well and I wish all mum carrying twins out there have a wonderful and easy. All the best.

I had a set of Fraternal twin girls in September of 2005. I'm only 18 years old, so the chances of me having twins was considered small. I went through a lot of the same symptoms that most women go through with twins, like having horrible morning sickness (eat ginger snaps and drink lots of ginger-ale and sprite!) and feeling pretty cruddy. However, I just simply had the feeling that I was carrying twins, No one believed me, but we soon found out what I had suspected. I delivered them two months early because of preeclampsia, but they are wonderfully healthy now. My heart goes out to Kirsty- I know how it is being a teenager and expecting twins. Just know that everything will be okay. Take care of yourself and your little babies. I'm sure you've been told this before, but those little ones will be a blessing to you and you will love them more than anything else you've ever loved before. My advise to anyone expecting twins is not to worry and when they come home, don't treat them like they are the same person. I get annoyed with people who treat my girls alike because they are very unique and very different people. Their personalities are nothing alike, so make sure that you make them feel special for who they are as a person. I wish all of you ladies the very best!!!
