I am 24 years old, married and expecting fraternal twin boys! I found out I was having twins when I was 10 weeks, and let me tell you, I was in shock when she put the thing on my belly and said, "Oh, looks like theres two in there." I was in tears cause I was not expecting twins at all!! I am now almost going into my 38th week, and both babies are over 6lbs. My husband and I are very excited and nervous at the same time, we actually go in this coming Tuesday for my c-section, only because one baby a is still breech and has no room to turn. This is me and my husband's first time being pregnant, and I'm being very optimstic about this whole life changing experience! To everyone expecting twins, good luck and I'm a firm believer that God gave us this double blessing because he truley felt all of us could handle it!!

Hello, I'm now 38 years old and my due date is April 21, 2008, I don't have much to say right now because I just became 4 months pregnant. Fortunately I didn't have any morning sickness in the 1st trimester and now I feel like every time I eat dairy products I have to go to the bathroom a couple hours later. This is my first twin pregnancy, I already have a 18y/o son and 16 y/o daughter, this is a natural twin pregnancy because my Great-Grandmother was a twin and they both lived till 95 y/o and now deceased since last year. I will have more information for you in the next month or so.

Hello im 32 yrs old ,27 weeks along.. I have 15 and 12 yr old girls and now I'm carrying twin boys. I really dont have any tips yet because I learn something new everyday... All I can say is listen to your doctor but also get as much advice as you can from other mothers of twins. It truly is a blessing to be able to have two at a time... But it is very different then carrying a single child... Thanks to many websites such as this one for reading other twin stories.

Carrying twins is a true miracle! But I strongly suggest to every woman if they're carrying twins who are identical (who share a placenta or the same sac) to make sure they get checked for TTTS (Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome). We found out we had that at 14 weeks, and it is a very serious disease (left untreated, there is a 90% rate of mortality). We had surgery on our twins at 19 weeks, and if it wasn't for the surgery they wouldn't be here at 29 weeks.

Hello, I am 38 years old and delivered identical twin girls in February. They were children number 6 & 7 to me, and children 2 & 3 to me and my second husband. (He was 42 when we were married 5 years ago with no children now we have 3 together) my other 5 children are three girls 20, 17, 12 and 2 boys 11, and 3. I have to say my advice is to ask for help. I thought because I had raised children similar in age it was not going to be difficult. WRONG! Twice the formula, pampers, clothes, holding, soothing, bathing, etc. and they won't do everything at the same time. My best gifts are two bouncers that play music and vibrate and they also have their own rotating mobile. My husband works all the time so that left me trying to feed and take care of them and a 3 yr old, by myself.
They were 6 weeks early and have had some serious reflux issues but they are now seven months and bring so much wonderment. They have had no development problems and are both growing in leaps and bounds. I still have a lot of days where sleep and I don't know each other and it's difficult to get other things in the house done because someone is always awake and demanding attention. For the most part they are sleeping through the night.
To sum it up;
1. Ask for Help, it's hard trying to do it alone. If there is no help:
2. Be creative. If not bouncers, pillows and even boxes can be transformed into a holder so you can feed or soothe both of them (be careful in anything you make up to help you don't want it to be dangerous to your baby.)
3.Prioritize. sometimes something is not going to get cleaned, cooked, etc because there are two babies wanting time.
My babies are named Faith and Joy which is applicable: you are going to need a lot of Faith to get through but twins bring alot of Joy. Double Blessings to all with twins.
