I am 35 weeks today. My husband is currently serving in Iraq. He's not coming home for the birth, and I have a 14 month old son. I am fed up now I just want this baby to come out. I have tried caster oil as it worked with my son at 40 weeks, but this time it just made me sick. Tonight I am having a cocktail of rasberry tea, pineapple, balsamic vinegar, and licorice. I hope it works, but I doubt it very much.

I am 37 weeks pregnant and have been bed ridden on and off since I was 12 weeks pregnant. I have a clotting syndrome and have had complications from the beginning. Doc says if I don't go into labor by 4/4/07, she is going to induce me. I'm now 1 cm dilated and 50% thinned out so I am ready to have this baby. I really want to find a healthy way to induce labor.

I am only one day past my due date and I am only one centimeter dialated. My doctor just went on vacation and will be gone for the next week. She thinks that I am fine and she doesn't have to enduce labor, but I'm gonig crazy! I can't wait for my little one to get here. She's going to be brilliant and I just know it!

I am having my first baby, Ina. Today's my prospective due date but nothing seems to be happening. My doctor prescribed premarin to induce labor, and undergo pelvic ultrasound. It worries me a bit. I want a naturally healthy, normal, and safe delivery. I am wondering whether induced labor trigger caesarian birth. I do not want to undergo caesarian birth, in as much as I would dislike it if midwives would induce breakage of the water bag. I would want to believe that it's fairly okay to wait up to 42 weeks of gestation, although hearsays have it that the longer it takes after due date, the lesser the amniotic fluid becomes. I still have faith. Counting the days...

I'm 37 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child . I'm 3cm 75% effaced and ready to have this baby. I took castor oil (2 doses) but it did nothing at all. And my husband is leaving March 26th on deployment, the same day I'm set to be induced. They will not let him stay behind so I'm trying to have the baby before that. I really want to find a safe way to induce my baby.

I have heard of using blue or black (not as effective) cohosh. Cohosh was an herb used by Indians for many years to induce labor. I used it with my second born and sure enough it started contractions but it is hard to say if it is what actually triggered labor. Of course you should read up on this and consult your health care provider first before trying any herbs.
