Well, I was due to have my baby boy today, but nothing is happening so far. I am 21 and this is my 1st. I Have tried so many things, but castor oil, which i am scared to try.

today is 10/23/06... i'm getting induced a week early because i'm a gestational diabetic. four days from now. the doctor says i'm thinned nicely but never said a percentage. and i'm not dialated yet. i just want to know if there are signs my water is going to break.

I am currently sitting at 37 weeks but my baby is measuring in at close to 9 lbs. My doctor recommended an ultrasound at 39 weeks but at that point the baby could be quite large. There was no discussion regarding labour induction but my OB did suggest that a C-section would be the probably outcome due to the baby's rather large size. Does anyone have any advice for me regarding labour induction? Should I ask him to do this for me, and will he listen? I am quite uncomfortable and it is very difficult to move around at this point because my baby is so big.

I AM ABOUT 36 WEEKS AND 4 DAYS. ITS MY FIRST CHILD AND I CAN'T HELP ALL THIS WEIGHT ANYMORE. I WANT TO TAKE A TEA MY FRIENDS TOLD ME ABOUT BUT I AM SCARED MY DOCTOR COULDN'T INDUCE ME THIS COMING THURSDAY B/C HE WAS GOING TO BE OUT OF TOWN FOR THE WEEKEND. SO HE PLANS TO INDUCE ME ON THE 26TH BUT I CAN'T WAIT ANOTHER TWO WEEKS. MY BABYSHOWER IS THIS SUNDAY THE 15TH SO PROBABLY AFTER ITS OVER I WILL TAKE THE TEA AND TRY TO GO TO LABOR ON MY OWN BUT I AM JUST SCARED OF DOING IT. BUT ALL THIS WEIGHT AND TIREDNESS I CAN'T TOLERATE ANYMORE. ESCPECIALLY SINCE I USED TO BE 129LBS BEFORE I GOT PREGNANT AND NOW I AM ALMOST 200LBS.
