I was due yesterday and I've also tried everything I can - especially the raspberry leaf tea and sex! I suppose that the baby will come when he's ready. I've already done 40 weeks, can another 2 really be that bad?!!!

This is my third child and I am at 39 weeks. A couple weeks ago I promised myself I would not sink to the level of the cumin tea, sex or red raspberry leaf tea. Yet here I am, after having tried all three, in the midst of another "natural labor induction" Web search. And even as I sit here waiting for the Metamucil to take effect, I know in the back of my mind that my mom was right, the baby will NOT come today if it's not ready (despite my most desperate efforts).

I am 5 days away from being induced with my 4th baby. I can't wait I'm already overdue and it's driving me nuts.

I'm expecting my 4th baby. I was nearly 2 weeks over with all my previous births. With my first daughter I was induced with the gel and would not advise it to anyone - I had so many problems; my daughter is very lucky to be alive. Countless things went wrong after the fourth time getting the gel: The pain was so intense, worse than a normal; full blown labour pain was a breeze compared to it. When the midwives broke my waters they discovered my daughter had bowel movement (my waters were a greenish brown) which I have heard since is very dangerous for baby and mother. My daughter got distressed and they lost her heartbeat on more than one occasion. To end a long story my daughter was in special care after she was born because I was induced so even if u have to wait an extra week or two its well worth it at the of the day. I went to have my 2 other children naturally without any problems and so much less stressful on mother and baby.

Ok to make a long story short: In the beginning my doctor told me that my due date was October 6th, 2007 (which is today) and to make it more interesting it's also my fiancee's birthday. After my first ultrasound they changed my due date to september 25th because of the size of my baby girl, saying that she was so big she might come earlier. Ok, so the 25th is gone and I'm still preggo. My back hurts, I pee constantly, I don't get much sleep, and I'm starting to waddle like a duck when I walk. My mom and I believe that they had my due date right from the beginning when they said the 6th of October. Everyone keeps asking did I have her yet and it's really frustrating. And being that it's my fiancee's birthday we want her to come today on her own. That would be so sweet if she waited all this time just to be born on the day her daddy was!! But thank God anyway that I don't have too much longer to see her because I'm being induced tomorrow. A little nervous but VERY excited and relieved.
