I am so ready for this baby. This is my third and with both of my previous pregnancies my dr stripped my membranes and labor started within 12 hours. This time dr stripped me fri and still nothing. I am so uncomfortable!!!

This is my second baby. I'm 39 weeks. My doctor said my cervix was "ripe," but so far: nothing! Sex hasn't brought on anything. I tried nipple stimulation which did cause some contractions, but no labor. Walking causes milder contractions, but no labor. I personally don't believe herbs are safe so haven't tried that. I was induced with pitocin with my first child, and everything turned out fine. No complications, but since I wasn't dilated at all, it took 36 hours from the start of the pitocin to the delivery! I don't think I could have made it without an epidural as the contractions are much more frequent and intense than a natural labor. they actually had to wait until my contractions slowed down before I could push because there weren't breaks in between contractions. I feel like the rest of you. I'm exhausted. I work three 12 hour shifts per week, I'm home with my son the rest of the time, and I'm ready for this to be over!

I have 2 kids and one on the way. Went late with both, and know what to do this time if need be. With my 2nd I got my membranes stripped, walked for 1 hour, did squats, and ate a whole can of pinnapples within 3 hours. 5 hours later i was on my way to the hospital, and had her 3 hours later!!! Sounds like a lot to do but I really don't know which worked best so try all!
