I wish i had more ultrasounds. my doctor only gives the one at 20 weeks (which everything was great) but thats it. I think it should be mandatory to have at least one a trimester to easy the minds of prego moms!

I am 27 wks preg w/ my 2nd child (first is 12) I had the "down syndrome screening" done @ 11 weeks. The first perinatologist thought that the nuchal fold seemed a little large. I had cvs done immediately, and that dr told me that the baby had a cystic hygroma and recommended terminating. My ob encouraged me to get a 2nd opinion, and I am so glad I did. Since then, 3 doctors have said the baby is normal, and there is no hygroma. (of course they can't say there never was). The doctor who recommended term. was very young and 1 yr out of med school. So, ultrasounds can be good (for relief factor) but these tests can be so wrong. (CVS was completely normal btw).
