Hi Mandy11 -- the fact that you've made it to 11 weeks is FABULOUS. Progesterone level of 13.7 is towards the lower end of the scale, but enough into the "safe" zone that you've obviously made it this far without any problems! That 100mg/day is probably plenty at this point, just to goose you up a bit closer to 20 or so. Plus, most doctors take you off Prometrium at 12 to 14 weeks anyway because by that point, the placenta has taken over feeding the growing baby and you don't need the progesterone to keep it growing. Sounds like you're in good shape. Did your doctors ever do a biopsy on your previous miscarriages? If those biopsies showed no deformities or abnormalities, then it's probably a good bet that low progesterone was the cause of your m/cs. I know -- it's maddening that you had to go through multiple m/c before anyone bothered to test your progesterone! It makes me insane. I'm seriously on a crusade to help inform women that if they're having bleeding in early pregnancy, they need to ask for a progesterone blood test. If the level is 10 or lower, they are in danger of m/c and can actually do something about it by taking Prometrium or a natural progesterone cream! Good luck; sounds like you're in really good shape!
