I fould some interesting info on twin types on a web site (of course I don't remember which one) but it listed the different types and there were some surprises. First, there can be boy/girl "identical" twins. It has something to due with very rare cases where the egg splits before fertilization. The two "eggs" then become fertilized with 2 different sperm and so the twins can be b/g (as sperm determines this) and each has 1/2 the identical DNA. The other type relates to this post; the web site mentioned twins that are conceived weeks or even months apart. There were names for both these types. The web stie sounded reliable but who can really know. I don't remember the name but it came up during a Google search. I'll look for it again and get back.
