tripletmom, freebird sorry if I was rude I'm a bit on the defensive. I came to this site because the question that started it was written by a woman who wanted to take clomid even though she ovualted normally and could conceive naturally strictly to have multiples by taking clomid ordered off the internet. I also do ovulate on my own and I can conceive naturally it just may take me a very long time if ever again I also ordered my meds off the internet and I too like the idea of multiples (twins) but my real goal is to just get pregnant. She was ttc I am ttc I came here to research my odds of a twin birth because that is a possible side effect, so for all these reasons I do believe I came to the right thread . I know many doctors ( they are human beings not GODS and are not masters of medicine only practicing it, I have seen them make many mistakes in the hospital, MANY , I have seen many a good nurse argue with a doctor and been in the right!) My own fertility specialist could have cost me my life by not diagnosing an ectopic. I worked in a doc office for a long time and then in a hospital as a unit secretary on medsurg and sometimes ICU and also the maternity wing before I quit to help my husband start his own electrical contracting buis. I watched my OB's kids while she performed an emergency c section one night. I have very strong ties to some of the women who work in her office. I do not believe I could have any real privacy on the matter. You would not believe how many eyes see your charts. If I was to go to another doc. they would have to obtain my records and my OB would be like what the heck!? And if my insurance company caught wind of fertility treatments which they don't cover they may not pay for my babies birth and I pay them enough already every month!! So I started researching the possibility of getting it on my own. Have talked to many people and learned much about it. Even if I told my doc and she monitored me and prescribed me the meds I could still have twin/multiple birth. She could not stop that. And hyperstimulation is very rare with Clomid espescially at the lower levels. So you see I have my personal reasons as well. You may think they are irresponsible and irrational but they make perfect sense to me.
