Hello Everyone. Hi TJ. Congratulations on your babies. I am also having identical girls due Nov.12. I have a 5 year old daughter and a 3 year old daughter. We were surprised at a 12 week US that showed the two of them! My girls share a chorionic sac, the harder outer sack, but have their own seperate amniotic sacks inside. Identical twins do not have to be in the same sacks, it all depends on when the egg split. It may have split before implantation, giving the babies two of everything, or after implantation where they share the outer sack and sometimes the same amniotic sack, depending on when the split occured. Hope that helps you a little bit. We were told at our first US that the babies were monoamniotic which means they share one of everything, but at a later US they found a dividing membrane which put us at ease. Good Luck!
