I just wanted to say congratulations. Of course we all have our opinions of prescription drugs, clomid is not a controlled substance. In fact most prescription drugs aren't. I think it is wrong to say that this issue is black and white. I know some pretty amazingly stupid doctors who will prescribe something just to make money, get the patient to come back etc... I know some pretty smart people who diagnose better than some doctors. Just because they have an MD behind their name, does not mean they are doing all that is right for you. We are dependant way too much on this system of ours. People need to be more educated. There is so much information, and doctors don't know it all. I have seen a doctor google someone's symptoms because they weren't sure of a diagnosis. I can google. And so can the mother of triplets. It just doesn't seem fair to decide for her that her decision was wrong. A doctor could have easily prescribed clomid for her and had the same result. You just assume that because she didn't ask a doctor she was wrong. I also know some pretty stupid people who will do things they shouldn't to get what they want. To all of you who think that this girl did the wrong thing. Shame on you. She said she wasn't ovulating normally, and was trying to get pregnant. If she had gone to a doctor he would have just charged her money to tell her what she already knew. Then the doctor would have prescribed clomid. She knew she most likely needed help to concieve. Twins, and triplets are rare. Even on clomid it's only a 1% chance. Just to remind you that twins and triplets do occur without fertility drugs. She could have taken a much more powerful drug and concieved six babies. She did what she did. Actions have consequences, and hopefully the outcome will be wonderful for all involved. This issue has a lot of grey area, because there are a lot of corrupt people in the world. To say that talking to a doctor is the only way to get it right is wayyyy too black and white.
