I have been researching Wild Yam and it's value when trying to concieve twins. I have read some conflicting information. Firstly it seems that some types of Yam are actually traditionally used as a contraceptive, not so handy if you're trying to conceive.

for details of a West African village that has a high instance of twins and attributes it to Agida, a yam like vegetable. I have not yet found Agida available as a supplment yet. It seems it you are taking Wild Yam you should only take it after ovulation.
I would go along with the Vitex tip though.
