Frances- Your experience sounded so much like my first except I was given a full episiotomy and forceps and my poor baby boy was ripped out even if he wasnt supposed to fit. What followed was alot of pain, depression and hard times with an extremely unsettled and colically baby.I felt like a failure even though deep down I knew ,that had the birth had been different I may not have had to deal with some of what followed. Just wanted to let you know that I know how you feel and I think we are amazing just to have gotten through that. My son is 7 now and just divine but Im not sure I will ever forget how tough those first 12 months were!
