hi hunabees i am 18 weeks pregnant and have just given up smoking a week ago its still tough but without the patches this is what i did.cut down to about 4 aday but dont smoke them when you would usually do like after tea or at breaktime at work. smoke them at totally different times of the day and make it so it isnt a pleasure but a horrible habbit.do you smoke in the house? if you do then make sure you go right outside and smoke it. get ur dh to do the same its easier to give up when you both do it. but the main thing is to take the pleasure out of smoking.the more you think of it like housework or the washing up the easier it is to stop. then about 2 weeks after you have cut down both pick a date which you want to stop and both have your last one the night before. if you badly want a baby of your own then that is a good enough reason to stop go 4 it! xx
