I stopped smoking the day I had IUI. It is wierd but the weeks leading up to that day I tried to quit and It was so hard, but ever since my IUI ( Tuesday), I have not even had the "urge" to smoke. I keep feeling my belly wondering if I am pregnant. I smoked almost a pack a day for over 15 years until this past Tuesday.

As far as the effects of smoking on the baby, a lady I work with has a friend who smoked during pregnancy, and her son was born with no thumbs because of it. Birth defects can happen, as well as low birth weight, a low immune system, and more,,,,,,
