I was given demerol afterwards. Then switched to motrin after day 2 because I hated being so out of it. If you have strep b they might still give antibiotics. I think I was given something to relax me right before and I started talking a mile a minute about the dumbest things. I am still embarrassed by it. I kept asking every doctor/nurse who walked in the room if I looked like Jesus (because they had me on the table like I was being crucified, arms out, legs together). I am so embarrassed but I am sure it was from some kind of relaxer they must have give me. It was truely out of character for me not to be able to shut up. Anyway, that combined with a spinal or epidural and fluids is about the whole cocktail. I think demerol was given instead of percocet because I am allergic to percocet.
