I am pretty sure that the mucus plug/bloody show are the same thing. I just lost mine the other day and would compair it to the end of a period. Like snot mixed with brownish/redish discharge. I had my membranes stripped two days ago and still no labor...as far as the heat flashes i get them too...mostly when i am sleeping...i will wake up drenched in sweat...and i have a fan and our air on...its fall and about 30 degrees outside...my poor boyfriend is always freezing. Good Luck...hope it comes soon for you...I know i am so ready.
