A tattoo will not be ruined by an epidural or pain relieving drugs and a tattoo does not increase the risk of infection. Where do people read this rubbish. It's only a tattoo fgs. The tattoo may stretch depending where it is but this is caused by being pregnant and your tummy growing. My sister has a dolphin tattoo on the tummy and it looks ok since she had the baby.

An epidural is actually placed higher than the base of your back, I'd say it's more towards 1/2 way up and the ink gets into your bloodstream while your having the tattoo so it's not going to make a difference if it get's in during epidural placement.
