This is a choice you have to make and you only. Your ex can decide whatever she wants but in the end it's your choice what happens with your child. Don't let money be an issue as I've heard everybody makes it work some how. You just have to ask yourself are you ok with giving your child to a close family relative of your ex. Your ex WILL be part of that childs life and most likely the child will know that your ex is the mother. You just need to decide what you want to do.
