I smoked untill I was 4 months pregnant. But not much. The way I was able to quit was to cut down the smoking. I was young at the time so I would take a few drags off of my friends ciggarettes during their smoke breaks. All you can do is cut down on smoking as much as you can and then finally not smoke. It took me untill 4 months. Ismoked for 7 years when I had to quit smoking, but right after baby was born, I started smoking again. I dont think I will ever quit smoking, but the break was kind of nice. You know why I quit? Because every single time you take a drag off of your smoke, the baby cannot take a breath. There is no oxygon when you take the drag. That is why babies become premature or their brains cannot develop properly. They need all their breaths. You take it away when you take a drag off of a smoke. This is what pushed me to stop. Yes it is hard as hell, but its apart of being a mother. Smokeing is nothing compared to breast feeding and not sleepless nights. Trust me. You can quit smoking for a few months.
