I had a blighted ovum which means the baby died very early but my sacs continued to develop. The sacs are what put off the pregnancy hormone that gives the symptoms of pregnancy. I still had all my symptoms (nausea/vomiting, extreme fatigue, heartburn, and sore breasts) up until the day of my d&c I am a week out and my breasts have finally subsided a few days ago. I had brown spotting for two days, an hour or so each day only at wiping. This was my only clue something wasn't right since I hadn't spotted with my other two successful pregnancies. If you read on this sight, you will see many good outcomes with brown spotting though. In my case, I hadn't actually been pregnant for about three weeks but still had all the symptoms due to the sacs. Good luck to you.
