My first never fit into the newborns, and was only in size 1 for about a month and a half. By the time he was 2 he was in size 7, which we had a really hard time finding. We had a lot of leftover diaper sizes because he moved really quick, but we were able to use them when the second came along.

My second was in newborn for about 3 months, then slowly started moving up. Now he is almost 2 and is only in size 4.

They are all so different it is really difficult to estimate.
