I have been told that you shouldnt lay on your back while pregnant because the vena cava which is the artery than runs down your back. The weight from your uterus can compress it, and make you feel short of breath and dizzy but you aren't hurting anything. It is best to lay on your side. I´m 20 weeks and have this too and the feeling of havinng short breath is not good.
