i am a very paranoid person, so i completely understand your concerns. i am 24 weeks pregnant and i have suffered from insomnia even before pregnancy. i think some of it has to do with being a high school teacher. anyways, i asked my doctor about tylenol pm and he said that i could take it every night if i needed to. he said that it was actually worse for my baby if i was continually stressed. i usually drink a cup of hot chamomile tea, take a warm (not hot) bath, and take one tylenol pm. i read a little bit and i fall asleep right away. it is different for every pregnancy so ask your doctor. they might even prescribe something stronger should you need it.
