I had a friend who had the same type of cyst. Her doc cut it/drained it(not sure) and packed it full of gauze. She had to go in like every other day and get it taken out and repacked-until she had to have surgery for it. She said the gauze visits were horrible...she cried and nearly passed out. She couldn't wait to have surgery. After the surgery she was fine and felt so much better.
