I just got back from the dr. he is running more tests to check my homocysteine levels, but prescribed metanx. I know a lot of you are taking extra folic acid. part of MTHFR is the inability to covertt olic acid into methylfolate which is what the body uses. Metanx is methyfolate, there is no converting, so our bodies can absorb it. it also has B vitamins. here is more info for anyone interested... google metanx and click on the tab that says unaffected by the MTHFR polymorphism at the top.
