If you had 2 hpts that came up with a faint line you were indeed pregnant although your numbers probably never got up very high. Depending on the test you used, most early tests detect hcg at 25-50 miu of hcg. A doctor's office usually considers anything above a 5 as positive (because some women carry numbers like 2 or so around naturally and are not pregnant. False positives on ONE test are rare, on two, not likely at all. It is still devastating--it's what is called a chemical pregnancy and I had 3 of them in the course of my ttc journey. It didn't hurt any less than the ones I lost a few weeks later. Hang in there and know you can keep trying right away. Don't worry too much about the tissue though. I know I was very concerned about this with myself and the dr. explained that the baby at that stage is smaller than a grain of rice (I think even at 6 weeks pregnant with a normally developing fetus and hcg in the thousands it is smaller than a grain of rice. Your lining just builds up a lot when you are pregnant even in the earliest of stages. Good luck to you in the future!!!
