So, I read everyone else's promise to come back on after reading these experiences and talk about theirs and I decided to do the same. I was 8w exactly when I found out on my birthday this past Monday that I had a blighted ovum.

First of all, let me tell you how much anxiety I had this morning after reading everyone's posts. I seriously thought I would die from this. But I didn't! And my experience was/has been great so far.

I had the Misoprostol inserted at 11:00am at the OB's office, 4 - 200mg tablets. I took 3 ibuprofen right away, because I read over and over here that people started feeling pain within an hour. I drove home, felt fine, laid down, freaked out, and took a vicoprofen. I don't think I needed it. at 3:00 I took another vicoprofen and 3 ibuprofen. Still no pain. At this point I thought I had either been very lucky and wasn't going to experience pain, or the pain just didn't start yet, or taking the painkillers was working. I still wasn't bleeding.

My parents came over for dinner because they knew I was going through this and I started bleeding while we were all hanging out but I was prepared so no biggie. I took another Vicoprofen around 6:45 and 1 ibuprofen. Still no pain. I passed one very large clot, and a huge piece of tissue, with a lot of blood. Still no pain.

It's now midnight, I have been bleeding, but nothing scary. I've shot out quite a few clots, and I've had absolutely zero pain. I haven't taken pain medication since earlier tonight because I guess I just realized, I don't need it. I didn't get nauseous and i didn't get diarrhea. So far I've had a great experience and if I had to do it over again I'd definitely choose this over a D&C.

I'll post again in the morning if anything significant happens but I am pretty sure nothing is going to change.
