I found out I was pregnant before Thanksgiving this year. I went in on Dec 4 for our first appointment and at 7 weeks pregnant we saw the baby's heartbeat. I went back on Dec. 31 for my 2nd appointment and the baby had no heartbeat.
My Dr. prescribed me Cytotec to take, and rather than take it on New Year's Eve I decided to wait until Jan. 3.
I inserted 4 pills vaginally and it took about 2 hours for the cramping to hit me.
12:00pm inserted pills
2:00pm SEVERE cramping
4:00pm took benadryl and was able to sleep for a while
6:00pm passed one VERY large clot
7:00pm passed another clot
9:00pm took second dose orally and felt nothing
I found that when I stood up the bleeding worsened. When I went for my follow up appointment yesterday the baby had passed out of my system. This pill worked for me, but it made for a LONG weekend.I would advise waiting about an hour after inserting the pills vaginally to take any pain medication. I took my pain medication too early in the process and it had worn off by the time the real pain hit.
This has been very hard on me, but I am looking forward to the future, and just hope that no one else has to expereince the physical pain that I did this weekend.
