To Heyni: Yes, when stopping birth control it can take up to 6 months for your cycle to go back to normal. Especially if you stopped in the middle of a pack of birth control. Wait 1-2 weeks and take another HPT, if negative wait another 1-2 weeks and take another HPT. If after a month you still have no period and are getting negative results, go see a doctor. More then likely you're fine, but there are other medical problems that can make you not have a period. Also, if you do go to the doctor's office it is VERY important that you have the doctor perform an ultrasound, there is a chance of an ectopic pregnancy (where the fertalized egg has implanted in the fallopian tube) which can potentially be dangerous. In many cases of an ectopic pregnancy you will get a negative result on HPT's an ultrasound can clear this up. If you do have an ectopic pregnancy it is safe for the doctor to move it to the uterus, but this has to happen as soon as possible. Good luck.
